A Typical Day at Messingham Sunbeams!

Our children enjoy fun-packed and educational days every day, but we thought you might like to hear what exactly our children have fun doing and learning......

All children arrive from 9.15am. Security is always at a premium and we always have a member of staff greeting them at our securely locked door as they arrive.

With a maximum of just 16 children on any one day, they can choose from a wide variety of play themes. These include:

* Role Play

* Water Fun

* Colouring & Painting

* Building & Construction

* Arts & Crafts

* Reading Corner

* Puzzles

* Outdoor Play

* Baking

* Messy Fun (aprons provided)

Because we are dedicated to a smaller number of children, we feel it is like home from home and all children are kept clean, dry and warm at all times. Also children are helped with visits to the toilet area at any time and we welcome trained and not yet trained children. We are happy to support children at any stage with any needs.

Children all get a snack and a drink during the session (although we have a standard time for this, we are flexible to allow free flow play) and we always ensure any allergies or special diets are taken into account.

Finally, we like to gather the children together for individual show and tell sessions and to listen to what they have to say and tell us about their lives outside of Sunbeams. We also treat them to a story.

Then its time to go home and all children are collected 11.45, unless they opt to stay for our regular lunch club or our extended play on a Friday. Once again, security is always at a premium as children come and go and the a member of staff is always responsible for the exit door.
