Quality of Provision

Messingham Sunbeams Pre-school is part of the Local Authority Quality Assurance Scheme for Childcare and Education and a member of the Pre-school Learning Alliance.

We are delighted to have recently achieved Step 1 of the scheme and the team is now dedicated and focused on achieving Step 2 within the coming year.

Steps to Quality links closely with national standards to support childcare and education providers in meeting Ofsted’s requirements and the conditions for receiving additional funding such as Nursery Education Grant.

OFSTED

As Messingham Sunbeams provide the Early Years Education Funding, we must follow the government’s Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum for 3 and 4 year olds. The quality of their provision is monitored by the Office for Standards in Education (OFSTED). Early years education should provide a combination of care, play and education, enthusiastic early years workers, good resources and equipment and an approach that will meet the needs of your child.
